Must have skills for Indians

In India we worship our nation as a symbol lady, Bharat Mata, so here are my top things on the list for things to learn before 30 in my funny, loving India:

• Learning to speak and communicate in English fluently, because, if you are applying for a position anywhere in India, all they look at, above intelligence and smartness, is how fluent your English is. English Speaking is the biggest qualification, degrees come second.

• Learning to drive at slowest possible speed, thanks to the potholes on every road in our country, it should have been - difficult to find potholes on the roads, It actually is - difficult to find roads amongst potholes. First Gear Zindabad.

• Learning to cut your mentality about hygiene on roads or diet plans , to enjoy the roadside food in India! Pani Puri, Cheese Toast, Vada Pav, Dosa & Mendu Wada…….. And the list goes on until we are full.

• Learning to invest in the stock market or mutual funds. If this question would have been about any other country too, this point would be the same. Make your money work for you, don’t work for money.

• Learn to travel in local trains and buses. ESPECIALLY IN MUMBAI. GOING TO TRAVEL BY TRAIN OR BUS IS GOING TO WAR!!! Take a look:

• (For Men) Learning to stay in a specified Male Dominated country which has actually turned female dominant, over the years. Ladies allowed in Gents Compartment in train, vice versa may make you end up battered by ladies and in jail. Ladies Seats everywhere - The other day a lady fought with me over a seat which was not a ladies reserved seat, but because other ladies reserved seats were occupied and she wanted to sit, as she is a lady. Hi, I am a man, we both are human. We respect you, don’t misuse it.

• Learning how to respect other religions and communities. We are the biggest socially diversified democracy, so lets make it work. Lets show the world, or in fact, lets help them recall that God made man, Man made countries, boundaries and communities.
