Hindu or Sanatana Dharma

Sanatana Dharma embedded tradition and science in the daily chores. Actually, a majority of us know Sanatana Dharma as Hindu Dharma but Hindu was actually used by the foreigners. The word 'Hindu' arose from the river Indus and the residents around the river were called Hindus. But the religion is actually called the Santana Dharma.

The scriptures do not refer to Hindu Dharma as Hinduism or even Hindu Dharma but as Sanatana Dharma or the eternal truth. Sanatana means eternal and Dharma has many meanings including truth and way of life.

When we study deeply the practices that have been followed by the followers of this pious religion, we will be surprised by the scientific reasons behind that tradition.
