While you must not have known, the puppy breeding industry is extremely cruel. Mother dogs are made to bred repeatedly forcefully. Their pups are taken away when only a month old. Normal dog moms stay with the pups for 3–4 months and have bonds for life. The mom after she cannot reproduce is killed, so are the pups with diseases, infections. There are alot of ill puppies because of the condition mom is kept in and because they are made to reproduce so unnaturally quickly. That's why you wont see any 'special' breed dog roaming around the streets. When you adopt, you save many lives. One of the dog you adopt and of many others by rejecting the cruel puppy breeding industry. India has the highest stray dog population with 30 million of them. Do you want to know a fact? • The Fifth Avatar   Lord Vamana was the fifth avatar of Lord Maha Vishnu. "In this age of Kali, five acts are forbidden:  the offering of a horse in sacrifice,  the offering of a cow in sacrifice,  the acceptance of the order of sannyāsa,  the offering of oblations of flesh to the forefathers,  a man's begetting children in his brother's wife. Such sacrifices are impossible in this age due to the scarcity of expert brāhmaṇas or ṛtvijaḥ who are able to take the responsibility. In the absence of these, the saṅkīrtana-yajña is recommended. Yajñaiḥ saṅkīrtana-prāyair yajanti hi sumedhasaḥ.  After all, sacrifices are executed to please the Supreme Personality of Godhead.
